Across our state, we see every day how dedicated direct care professionals support people to enhance independence and connection. Their work goes far beyond daily tasks – it’s about providing stability, honoring personal goals, and supporting individuals in the place they call home.

Nevada is currently facing a shortage of these essential professionals. To help inspire more people to join this rewarding field, the Nevada Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is launching a new awareness campaign titled “Made For This.”

As part of this campaign, ADSD is seeking community members who can share meaningful, real-life stories about how an exceptional caregiver made a difference in their lives or the life of a loved one.

WHO: Individuals or family members who have been positively impacted by a direct care professional
WHAT: Direct Care Professional awareness campaign; photos and videos will appear on ADSD’s website and social media
WHEN: Early August (availability between August 3–6); Time Commitment: Approximately 2–3 hours
WHERE: Filming in Reno, Nevada

If a caregiver has made a meaningful difference in your life or your family, sharing your experience could encourage and inspire others to step into this important role.

Please download and review the attached casting flyer for details. If you or someone you know would be interested in participating on camera, please reach out directly to the campaign manager, Ryan Sullivan, at ryan.sullivan@kps3.com.

Thank you for helping us uplift the stories that strengthen our community.
